Went here about 7 years ago. It was soo amazing. Just remember it and will visit again next time I go to Pennsylvania. So many more animals than just felines (although, I adore the big cats and they would suffice on their own) that it is very exciting to adventure around. Clear paths, photography allowed. A lovely rescue place that makes me feel good that these animals are safe.

My wife and son went here for my birthday gift. He loves animals and it supports a great cause. You can tell the staff have a genuine love and appreciation for the animals. I personally want to thank each and every one of them for our experience. It's almost a 2 hour drive each way for us or we would come back more frequently. I would highly recommend it and as I said, they are completely volunteer based. So be a patient and thankful. The negative reviews are ridiculous and simply not true. Go and have a good time!

This place is incredible! I can't believe I haven't been before! What a wonderful thing this family is doing for all these misfit animals. Everyone should go at least once and check it out. You will not me disappointed! The tigers are beautiful, the primates have such personality!

This place was bigger than I expected, but still a small size animal sanctuary. They are open only 70 days per a year. So we got there around 4 p.m. not many people at that time since they close at 6. We took our time watching all the animals so it took us 1 hour and a half to see everything. We also get to talk some of the volunteers there about the animals, they were nice and knowledgeable. I suggest you wear comfortable shoes since it's a dirt pathway throughout the refuge. There was also an aviary section that was close at the time due to bird flu, that cost extra to get in. Animals we saw were many monkeys, lots of bengal tigers, a lion, bobcats, many foxes, raccoons, emu, and cute bears. I'm thankful this place existed, to take care of animals from people who can no longer own or take care of them. If you love animals, this is a great place to see them up close versus a zoo.

they are only open may-september. I wouldn't want to give hours as they may change their hours in the coming year. they also have a website you can check.
