Our first time here, and we really enjoyed it. Spent most of the day driving and birding and taking photos.

A beautiful place to visit! The 8 mile long Wildlife Drive has a diverse natural area that is home to birds and wildlife. There are trails to explore but I'd advise bug spray due to ticks and mosquitoes. The Visitor Center was not opened the day I visited but there are no water rest rooms available.

Volunteer staff is informative, welcoming and kind. We LOVED it. There were 2 women and a man when we went last Sunday, 5 of us went together, and each one of us had such great experiences and conversations with them. The trails are spectacular, and so is the 8 mile car route around the park, granting people with little or no mobility the opportunity to view unparalleled views of some of the most gorgeous vistas, animals and environments in North America. Snow geese were migrating during this visit, every person in our group was in awe of their beauty, and happiness while they ate, played and walked by the literal thousands through this winter paradise.

Unique place to explore! Birders paradise, fun for non birders too. For those up for it, you could walk or jog the loop.

A # of years ago I watched the birds flying in over our heads from an observation tower, which was close to a parking lot. Can you tell me where that is located. (It wasn't on the loop road). Going there tomorrow.

We like to watch the sunrise from over there at the base of that tower. Very nice!
