We decided to go on the Bristow Trail for a longer walk with less direct sunlight, and it started out as a nice hike. However, as we got further in the trail became very overgrown and we were swarmed by large amounts of mosquitoes. It was unbearable to deal with those even with bug spray, and the worry of encountering ticks in the tall vegetation made us get off the trail as soon as possible. It feels as though this trail is only safe to go on during the cool months. The scenic drive was very nice, but we wished the trails were more maintained.

Very nice! There are hiking trails but we did the driving tour. Takes about a half hour and loops way out. It feels like you are driving out on a road on the ocean, lots of wildlife and photo ops.

We took a multi day guided tour provided by the Cape May Bird Observatory. We wondered "Why on earth would they have us drive an hour from Cape May?" We took four hours to complete the loop because we had many stops to see a variety of birds. It felt like we were on a safari. If you didn't see buildings from shore towns off in the distance, you'd think you were far from civilization. If you don't know all your water fowl, then partnering with a guide who does makes the experience much more valuable.

Very nice trails here that not many people know about. Just a cool spot all in all

A # of years ago I watched the birds flying in over our heads from an observation tower, which was close to a parking lot. Can you tell me where that is located. (It wasn't on the loop road). Going there tomorrow.
