This place is not worth sending someone you love over there. The whole management is terrible after the company wanted to save money.

Avoid this place like the plague! We placed a relative here for dementia and they recently changed leadership. since then the residents who were eating family style with plates, silverware, and cups have been reduced to sporks and styrofoam boxes. In April our relative had a fall and laid on the floor in the bathroom calling for help for more than 30 minutes with no staff member in site. We tried calling to alert staff but a resident answered the phone and said no one was there. She began calling for help too. We went in to take my relative out to dinner and found her bedsheets had not been changed for almost 3 weeks and she was unbathed for at least 10 days. They overprescribe antipsychotics so residents will be compliant and over bill Medicare. They use in house doctors but in reality they are family practice PRNs whom you can never speak to and who don't inform the POA of med changes. definitely not worth the $55,000 a year price tag!

Mission Oaks Memory Care was the second facility we had my father-in-law in. Finding this facility was an amazing relief. It was everything the other home was not. SO caring, and dad was truly cared for until the end of hs life three weeks ago. They worked so well with hospice in the end, and we can't say enough. It was top notch in every way. Nothing was left undone. They were always engaged with the residents. And kind and caring...They treat staff well and have very little turn over. Amazing place!!

Been awhile since my last review and again we have been impacted by the covid variant. This time it hit residents and staff. We've had to eat all meals for past 3 weeks in our rooms. Hopefully we will return to dining room tomorrow with 2 sittings to allow for social distancing. Many activities have resumed with fewer participants. There are still staffing problems and turnover continues. Several changes promised in past few years are still not completed. The original resident pendant system has not been replaced. This much needed system promised years ago was to have some important new features, it still has not been installed. In a review posted 3 years ago by Robert Mead he mentions the choices in dining and the always available menu. He might consider visiting this ALF and make note of the changes especially the elimination of some very popular items that are no longer available.

Yes, please call. Different prices and rooms. That way you'll get what you need.
Most certainly do, we have several residents that are Veterans.
Mission Oaks is an assisted living facility and it also has a skilled nursing facility/memory care.
