Trails were not marked well at all. Trash lying on the ground, clothes lying in the woods, dirty needles under a fallen tree, plus an old dirty mattress lying inside one of the rock caves. Waterfall had no water and a muddy water hole under where the water would be falling from. Prolly would not visit again.

Google directions leads to a dead end road on Archery Road. No parking and no signs. We tried it twice the same results. All we got was followed by some strange red truck that watched us from a distance. We even tried getting directions or an address from the city web site but I guess it is so insignificant as a tourist attraction that it is not worth listing on the web site.

If you feel like you're going down a side fire lane you're not supposed to be on, you're in the right place. It's gravel and washed away at some parts. THE TRAIL IS BY THE LAST YELLOW GATE, NOT BY THE CEMETERY. The trail had some obvious storm damage (there were lots of trees down on the path and some of it was a bit washed away), but it wasn't too bad to follow. Getting down by the waterfall wasn't as bad as I thought it would be from reading the other reviews, although we did have to hang on to the rope. The waterfall itself is very pretty. It is sad how much graffiti there is, but you can still take pictures without all of that in it. It was definitely worth hopping over all those trees :)

The road is not well marked and it's a small one lane gravel road. Big pot holes and muddy at some places. No marked parking. The trial is not marked. The trail is about 1 - 1 1/2 mile long. To get to the water falls you have to use the …

I'm not sure on that ! I've been to many places down thew there , I've camped down in there , but never heard of any closing time . my modo is always , if you bring it in take it out with you ! I even bring a couple empty bag with me , and pack out any garbage I see from others on my way out ! No Nader were I fish camp or walk trails ! I feel it the least go can do for having these beautiful places to go and see ! There are a couple more caves and bluffs back there to . This is a beautiful state !

We will be heading down this week to Dawsons Springs. Is the waterfall there this time of year? What is the easiest access to hike there? We are not very experienced and have an 8 year old with us.

Not sure it would be running this time of year. I was there in August last year and there was no water.
