I was in a hit and run accident over the weekend and the officers who responded were amazing. Officer Rome and his partner were helpful and calming. Officer Rome even helped me change a tire that had been flattened in the accident and untangled my seatbelt. It was nice to know that I had help when I was so shaken up. Also, a passerby stopped and I will be forever grateful to her! All of these people made a horrible situation a little better.

The law is there to protect and serve the citizens. For some reason all they’re concerned about is degrading those that they should be serving and breaking the laws in front of the entire population in their squad cars. There needs to be more restrictions on cops because it’s getting really out of hand that they do not realize that our taxes pay their bills.

Call 352-393-7600 and ask them to request a copy of the report. They will be able to look up the report using your name.
Depends on the circumstances (medical issues, suicidal statements, unusual behavior recently, etc), but I've seen people call for a well being check after not hearing from someone for 1 day. I would err on the side of caution and request one rather than waiting. Depending on what the officers find on scene will determine how much they will be allowed to do effort wise to make contact with the person. But I'm not sure what your specific concerns are and the surrounding circumstances. Make sure you include all the details you have when you call in for the well being check.
