You can actually walk right to stump pass from the state park. About 3/4 mi. Walk. Swimming in the pass is not recommended the current is awesome and it's always going in or out.

YES U CAN SWIM. BEWARE OF SHARP OYSTER SHELLS and rocks ALONG THE SHORELINE. IF YOU GO INTO THE WATER MAKE SURE TO WEAR SOLID BOTTOM WADE SHOES.. as far as tree climbing and pictures just be safe and enjoy
Paulson must be recent. To us locals, it's Indian Mound. On school field trips we were told about Indians settling there. There are a few signs when you walk through explaining the history. Great place to see a sunset!
If you have a boat people do leave vehicle and trailer when out fishing. Otherwise..no.
