Very nice campground.

Clarcona is a fair place to stay for basic camping accommodations. The good: Pull throughs for longer rigs, electric and water available. Trees and shade available in many sites. The bad: The shower heads are strategically placed in such a way that they shoot out into the dressing area, and will soak your lower half with cold water prior to warming up. The metal mirror in the ladies room was fogged over, rendering it useless. If you're bathing in your rig, know that there is no sewer service or dump. Take Navy baths cause you're going to have to unhook and go off property to dump your black and grey water.

We really liked this no frills campground. It was simple and clean and pleasant. I gave it 4 stars for 2 reasons. 1. There was no playground for the children which is a big deal to us. 2. Although the bathrooms were fairly clean with 3 showers, there was no place to dry and dress privately. It would be nice if there were curtains to allow private dressing and a mat on the floor that keeps the ground, where you are standing just outside of the shower, dry. They also need a place to put your shower gel and shampoo. And a hook to put your towel or clothes. Pros: Very affordable campground.. By West Orange Trail where my boys and I would go walking and they would ride their longboards. Decent sites, mostly level and most have trees for shade. Each campsite has a big garbage container that they do a good job of emptying for you. Each campsite has a grill and a picnic table, water and electricity. Staff are pleasant and flexible. Overall a pleasant place to camp. We spent 8 days there.
