It’s to manny entities. They really don’t have a system on how to work and provide homes for people. Needs more outside support / partnerships to house people who are homeless.

I asked for assistance, they are trying.

Been talking to them for over a month and turned in paperwork multiple times for them to tell me I’m missing paperwork. Not only is the process slow, the worker makes it slower by being disorganized and preoccupied with other tasks. I have yet to receive assistance and am behind on one month of rent and the second coming closer. I think I will be living on the street before they help.

This program is supposed to be a replicable HUD Government organization that is supposed to help those to prevent homelessness, but my Daughter that relocated to Jacksonville, FL, has not received help as their Mission Statement recites. Why?

You can call, they will answer any questions.
Are you a Veteran?
No. But I can tell you the 3 resources that provide Emergency Shelter. City rescue mission, Trinity rescue mission, and salvation army
No, it's not. They can point you to places with resources.
If you or your husband are a vet then look up Changing Homelessness. For Veterans on Park Street Jacksonville! They are GREAT!!??!. If you do not have a vet background , you can call 211 24/7 and they will assist u in finding help. Also call Jewish Family services on St Augustine Road. And NO you do not have to be Jewish to receive help! They too are a great group of people willing to help as long as you want to help yourself?
Of course, however they have a particular emphasis with military veterans
