Hotel was run down and under construction. Windows were taped up and could not see out. No where to park. AC in room didn’t seem to work. No security and the door locks were an old flimsy single door knob with old school key entry and no dead bolt. Only a small chain to secure the door while occupied. Homeless people wondering outside and inside the hotel. Did not feel safe here at all. Left immediately after check in to find somewhere else to stay. We had an incredible stay here! The manager was very attentive, held our bags before and after check out, and left breakfast at our door. Hotel is quiet and clean. Great location as well!

DO NOT STAY HERE! This hotel is not located in a safe area of Beverly Hills. Last week after a late flight, I arrived at the hotel around 2:30 a.m. There were transients in the adjacent alley and suspicious activity across the street. I didn't feel safe, and in place of no parking at the hotel, I didn't feel comfortable walking any distance. Immediately I called the hotel clerk to cancel my reservation and requested a refund. The hotel clerk informed me that I would need to contact Priceline, where I booked the reservation. This was false and incorrect information. Priceline told me that I would need to contact the hotel directly if a refund was to be given. Upon speaking via email with the hotel manager, I was informed that there would be no refunds. Really? Really? When didn't I feel physically safe? It was 2:30 in the morning, and I wanted to sleep. Do you really think I tried to locate another hotel at 2:30 In the morning? So, I need to pay 964.00 when services weren't rendered, and chances are that the rooms were booked after my cancellation and the hotel doubled their money. Ouch! Don't Stay Here! I repeat, Don't Stay Here!

I booked this place because of it's proximity to the El Rey Theatre and damn was it worth it. Although it is street parking you do get permits to park there and parking really wasn't bad (at least on a Sun/Mon). Room was clean and bright. Plenty of towels and clean sheets. TV had streaming apps which was great. I'm sure it's because of Covid, but in the morning the staff dropped a little bag full of complimentary breakfast items at our door. I thought that was very considerate of their guests! Sure, you could nitpick the room because it isn't a 5-star hotel but why? We had a great stay, everything in the room worked and we were very comfortable. Would definitely go back!
