Hertz Car Rental - Sarasota Bradenton Airport (SRQ)

Car had a flat tire the day it was to be rerurnes. AAA towed it to the airport. The Hertz people there are too lazy or incompetent to check it in, causing continuous charges for an overdue return. Even though I have proof of when the tow truck dropped off the car to them, the main Hertz office refuses to help me, saying I must go through the location at the airport. The people at the airport will not answer the phone or return phone calls. This left me with no other option than to charge back and cancel my card.

Understaffed or poor staffing and unorganized. Should not have to wait an hour past your scheduled time for your car. This is an obvious problem since they have added folding chairs outside to wait for your car to get to you. Lots of people waiting both times we were there.

My flight was delayed and arrived after Hertz was closed at midnight. Fortunately, Joe was still at the counter waiting for my flight. I greatly appreciated him being there. He quickly pulled up my reservation and gave me my car keys. This experience was hassle free. I was very impressed with Joe’s customer service. Everything else during the duration of my stay was great. I greatly appreciate the dedication exhibited by Joe and the Hertz team during my visit to Sarasota, FL. My only suggestion would be to have the phone number updated to be able to call this branch directly. It would save any future hassles and worries.
