Parking fee $5, friendly staff at Visitor center, clean bathrooms, VERY nicely made Fort using only historically accurate tools and techniques, and a few trails. I was a bit discouraged by the spiders and spiderwebs crossing my chosen trail ever 20 feet or so but that's nature for ya and nothing anyone could do. It's their home. I would recommend a revamp of many of the trail markers on the Indian Trail as many were hard to read the plant names and pictures to learn about them. FYI the fort has historical interpreters on days Wed-Sun. I went Tuesday but still enjoyed walking around fort and looking inside. There's also a pig that lives at the fort! Near the entrance/exit are the Buffalo, make sure you don't miss them as I didn't see them until I was leaving.

Very scenic park. One of the nicest we've been to. The Martin Station Fort was very cool and the staff were kind and informative. Kids enjoyed the rifle demonstration. We will return when in the area.

Had a great time both saturdays we went. David, the blacksmith, was amazing with the iron as he was with people. My younfeet son was in awe!

This state park had bison! That was the highlight for my kids but, the views that surround it are gorgeous. The visitor center is a must it explains alot of the history of the park & then spend some time exploring the buildings on the park. Its quiet & peaceful easy walks
