I have been helping my sister get her RV fixed for over 2 months now. Initially We took the RV to The shop to get a simple diagnostic done, they said it would take a couple of weeks until they would be able to give us an estimate on the work that needed to be done. After a month and a half Crystal called and verbally explained some of the repair, however was very unclear and refused to give a list and the cost of anything. They didn’t hesitate to charge her over $500 dollars for a diagnostic fee. That seems quite ridiculous- yet they still never gave us the itemized list of what has been done. They kept trying to upsell more issues and get her to bring back the Rv each time. They would make commitments on cost and timeframes and never even came close to either. Today they called and said it was ready- we arrived with the RV running as well as the generator. I got inside and tried to put it in gear and it would not move. I tried to turn the RV off and back on - it would not start. I asked the younger tech on the lot if the had to jump the RV to get it started and he replied yes. Shortly after Chris arrived with a complete attitude- he said he had told my sister she needed a new alternator. We never were told that… he yelled it was in the paperwork- my sister handed him the paperwork and asked if he could show us where anything mentioned this issue- never were we told that or given anything making reference. At that point Chris went complete nuts and started acting like a fool. He truly tried to rip off both mirrors on the RV as we were leaving. He was screaming that we owed him $85 dollars for tue jump. Long story short- my sister has paid over $4000 trying to get the RV running properly- I asked why he would of let my sister leave knowing that the rig would not restart. Chris said that’s not his problem and that she made a stupid mistake not getting the alternator fixed. What kind of person does this? They acted like they were doing her a favor- while overcharging and not doing the complete repair needed. My name is Thomas Lunsford and hope that anyone that reads this review thinks twice before going to this company. I’m sure Crystal will have a response to this…. But really, who manipulates to the of suggesting you take it out to Solimar and check everything- knowing we would be stranded and have to call them out for help? Then charge over $300 an hour to get a jump- knowing it would not restart?
