This church is amazing dont get me wrong, but just went to the 7pm Not a glum lot speaker meeting. Im 46 days sober watned to try out the meeting it was not a good experience. There were over 60 people in attendance, not very welcoming at all. Tried to talk to a couple of the people who headed the meeting and they didn't care to ask about my sobriety or welcome me. They were actually very rude specifically the secretary of the meeting. Lots of stink eye faces, cliqs, and just overall not helpful for my sobriety. The speaker was sweet but romantisized the whole story she was telling and had a joke every other sentence. We are there to hear that things were bad and werent right but we can get better not make it a fun journey but a journey that takes reflection. Will not be going back to this meeting.
