I am on section 8 through the VASH PROGRAM. I HAVE FOUND AN APARTMENT, COMPLETED ALL PAPERWORK, AND HAVE BEEN WAITING TO HEAR BACK FROM MY WORKER 'N MARCO'. IT'S BEEN TWO WEEKS AND I AM WORRIED ABOUT LOSSING THE APARTMENT. WHAT IS REALLY GOING ON AT HUD?

Not necessarily, unless you already have income and have a place you can go. Otherwise, it is a good city if you want to have chill environment.
It depends on when you apply. Otherwise, the waiting list can be between 3 to 10 years.
That's a question that you would have to ask the housing authority
It really depends on what part. While the nice parts of Ventura near Saticoy, near CMH or along Main can be generally family friendly, Montalvo area or the Avenue can be a bit dangerous. Camarillo, Saticoy, Ojai, and Santa Paula can be pretty safe. Oxnard is pretty much a hit or miss.
It is not considered a stable source of income.
