I was referred by my church to come here for legal advice or possible representation. I woke up hopeful and excited thinking I was going to have support and understanding. Instead I went in feeling attacked with the questions being asked by the attorney, judged, embarrassed, and If I was being dramatic and lying. It saddens me to hear the advice that was given to me.I thought I was going to leave feeling strong and confident during this very sensitive time in my life, but that was not case. Not one little ounce of hope. Please look elsewhere and do not waste your time.

I only give them one star because they helped with legal advice. I spoked with a lady that made me go from part-time to full-time at my job due to having an a program that help with daycare after doing my switch at work she ignored me, I tried calling giving my information letting them know if she could please give me a call back this is been going on since September 2021 I believe the supervisor try to get involved made me email her the license of my providers for daycare, but after sending my information and trying to speak with someone they just try to ignore me. I agree if there's no funding but I would appreciate a call and email stating that they cant help me. It would also be nice if they stop misleading people. I would not be asking for any help from this organization everything they said to me was misleading and I was ignored. Since I pay out of my own money for child care, It jeopardize my job from going to part-time to full-time and not having funding to pay for my daycare. Thank you for ignoring me and thank you for misleading me.

I called this line to gather information of what resources and knowledge bases were available to me as a male victim of domestic abuse. The woman I spoke to was kind tempered and pretty to the point. She provided 3 phone numbers of organizations and explained briefly that there was nothing more she could do and wished me “good luck”. Turns out none of the organizations she referred me to had resources for any sort of domestic violence. When the realization hit it was clear that she was going through the motions but clearly did not wish to assist. Unfortunately this organization is staffed with at least 1 sexist individual. You know who you are.

Questions & Answers

Dan Fuller asked for donations sent for his birthday to your organization. I’d rather send a small check just to your Freeport if that’s OK. Also wondering if you have paid positions wrk from home?

Could you try contacting a local church? A church might be willing to provide you with temporary housing (at least for you to stay at night)…
