I am a graduate of Women's Empowerment since 2001. Once you have completed their course you have their support for the rest of your life. You may use their services anytime which include family counseling, financial planning, housing placement, job training and placement, legal advice, mental health counseling, food and clothing resources and other individual needs. Access to the computer lab, life skill classes, fitness classes etc. WE is always there for their graduates making them feel welcomed and valued.

It is a very powerful, life- changing program that is absolutely worth it. The name "Women's empowerment" speaks volumes. I know first hand, because this program has helped me tremendously as well as soon many other great women from all walks of life! Trust me, you will not be disappointed:) Hope this helps
I'll try am times since donation time is in the afternoon. Gate needs to be open to make us feel safe in that unfortunate neighborhood.
Typically this program assists women over the age of 18. Yes it is open to all cultures and anyone who identifies as a woman.. This program is for Women and Children experiencing homelessness. This is a 9 week job readiness program. They will give you all of the tools you need as a woman to regain employment, look for housing and utilize all resources available to you to get back on your feet. If you need clothes they have a great clothing closet. They will help with transportation to and from the program ex: bus passes, gas voucher (please double check this one.) Also for more information please call and ask questions as well
They just finished this round of orientations but they have them about every 10 weeks give them a call to get the dates
Women's Empowerment is a "job readiness" program for "homeless" women, but they offer a variety of seviced that do include case management, social workers, advocates, access and referrals to many different resources. They do also work closely with Sacramento Justice League, who offers legal help like family law lawyers, case review, referrals and more. Everything is handled on a case by case basis, but if you are someone in their broad definition of "homeless", you can take the 9 week program and possibly find the help you need. Its a really great program, with a wide reach of resources for women. Call any day monday thru friday to see if you would be a good fit as a participant, and to find out when the next orientation is to secure one of the 30 slots per session. Good luck.
You would have to call to find out....the current session started about 2wks ago
Women's Empowerment doesn't provide housing they work to end homelessness through employment :)
Go to the next orientation January 4. That's the first step. It's about an hour or so to get through it but it's worth it.

Women's Empowerment empowers you with job seeking skills & life skills including mental health skills but that doesn't even begin to cover the amount of support you will receive from them. It's a wonderful organization & I HIGHLY encourage & recommend you seek them & there resources for DV support are AMAZING!!!! #Session66Strong
Not sure you'll have to call them
Perhaps a similar program like this one. Women's Empowerment, however, is the brainchild of one Miss Lisa C., who I am proud to call my friend. As a graduate of Women's Empowerment, I can say that Lisa & and her awesome... Awesome! staff have helped 1000's of women become proud, strong, resilient, self-sufficient, goal oriented, grateful loving women. They and I, have found paths we wouldn't of known of or had the where-with-all to even know about, let alone walk down. It is a wonderful "no-shame" place to be where your entire world opens up to possibilities you've only ever dreamed of. I must say I am blessed to be a graduate (w/honors ;) of W.E.. I can only hope they have a similar opportunity for you in Oakland, please Google it, & ask for others like this one. Best of Luck on your journey in this beautiful life my friend ☯️💫~You are Worthy and You are Enough. You can have Anything in this Life you wish. Stay in Gratitude, Come from Love, •Just Be•
It will be announced once the new session starts....you can always call and check
This is a 9 wk job readiness program that helps women who are homeless or on the verge of homelessness. It helps with so much more than just job readiness though i encourage every woman that needs help to do this program. It helped me in so many ways
