Rocky Mountain Coaster at Copper

If you are in the area then its a must visit .. lots of fun.. this is the second time we stopped by. We stoped by last year also when we were biking down from Vail pass to the city of Frisco. Copper mountain is half way down so a great place to stop .. enjoy the roller coaster and other rides (kids would love it ) and also to get a break and get some lunch or snacks.

I have never been on the coaster. It seems like a ridiculous price for what seems to be a short ride. My nephew tried to take his daughter. He walked over to the coaster only to find he had to go somewhere else to purchase tickets. At that point a willing customer was lost.

Fun experience for the family. I suggest the 3 ride per person ticket. Your first time down you may be unsure and use the brakes, so you'll need the second and third time to really enjoy flying down the mountain! Cameras and phones are not allowed on the ride and should be secured or left in the car. The picture I've posted is of the view from the base of the mountain where the ride starts.

This was out of the way, but it’s the longest one in the US. And it was worth it. The cost is also more then any other one in the area which the time to cost ratio was not good. But either way the ride is great. You control the speed of how fast or slow you want to go. You start at the bottom and ride it to the top then it’s a free for all. People that complain about long wait time, during times of a lot of people yes it can get long. We lucked out and waited 30/45 mins in line. But this is do to they need to create gaps between riders. They cannot speed up as they that would create people bumping slower riders on the track. The wait is worth it. The cost is not. For me it’s a been there done that got the t-shirt what’s next. I see no need to return to do it again as the cost is too high. At a lower cost I would. The packages they offer of your doing a whole day experience do bring it down. But with the lines you will just be doing stuff here all day to get all the things off the pass complete.
