The civil law is ferocious and insensible, but Matt navigated with wisdom. He was easy to talk to, always communicated with us directly, and saw us through to the finish. Thankfully we didn't have to see a trial, but I imagine he is an artisan in the courtroom. Most importantly, he seems to genuinely care. Best to you in your practice Matt!

When asked what the definition of a lawyer is many would say to represent their client in a legal matter. Matt takes a whole new approach when representing his client. He takes great pride in understanding his client and using many unique and impressive strategies to help his client in whatever circumstances may be. "A good lawyer knows the law, however, a great lawyer knows the judge. Matt understands the different types of judges and what they look for when the court is in session. Matt thinks outside of the box on how he and his client can show up to court with the strongest case they possibly could. Matt truly is the best lawyer.

Questions & Answers

I want to have a will or trust made. I moved here from Nevada and have a trust now, but I understand it has to be updated for the State of Kansas. Is this correct, and if so can you help me?

We don't handle wills and don't practice in Kansas State Court. We do practice in Federal Court in Kansas. Sorry, we couldn't help.

Do you take Defamation of Character cases?

We evaluate cases of any type based on the character of the client and facts of the case. In order for defamation to have a strong fact pattern, the defamed person must have a solid and nearly sterling reputation that was intentionally harned by false statements. Most importantly, our firm represents people, not cases and as such, we focus on a client base of good people going through rough times and set a course to smooth their rough seas. Whether it is a federal crime allegation, an injury from a car wreck at the hands of a drunk driver, or other civil litigation areas. Hope that helps!
