The first time I used North Coast Exteriors I had my windows cleaned and I also had my gutters cleaned so it was a long day for Tony in the heat. Later in the day as the sun moved I noticed some streaks on the small windows in my vaulted ceilings, sent him a quick message and he was back at my house to make it better immediately. The second time I had my windows cleaned by NCE I also included power washing my backyard pavers and without even asking Tony power washed my patio table as well. Today Tony was able to get the stickiness that was left behind by some Christmas decor in some windows. He was in and out and my windows look amazing. Tony is always so polite, super respectful of my home and always very efficient. I love having clean windows and will always use NCE!

Tony did a wonderful job cleaning our gutters and very steep roof that had years of moss buildup.

I found this company on line Looking to wash my roof. That looks really old. They gave me a price over the phone right away and schedule the job very fast and easy. I was actually surprise how good my old roof can look like. They did an amazing job. Thank you.

Questions & Answers

Will my water bill be THROUGH THE ROOF after pressure washing my home?

No. Water usage rates vary from city to city, but on average 1 gallon of water costs around .0036 cents. My local water district values home water usage at $2.65 for 748 gallons. That's around what we would normally use for roof cleaning on a standard 2000 sq. ft. home. Most homeowners won't notice the difference on their monthly water bill and we actually factor that cost into our final invoice.

How often should I wash my roof?

The lifespan of materials such as concrete tiles can be shortened significantly if they aren't cleaned regularly. When you see organic material, such as mildew and algae, rooting into the tile, it's time for a roof cleaning to prevent serious damage. After a roof cleaning, we recommend a subsequent cleaning every five years or so. Depending on the climate in your area you may notice growth before or later than that, so be sure to keep an eye on your roof.

Do you use harsh chemicals that'll damage my garden?

North Coast Exteriors | Feb 12, 2022

We don't typically use harsh chemicals when cleaning. Most of what we clean is organic such as mildew, algae, dirt, bird droppings, etc. This requires minimal usage of algaecide soap and hot water. Non-organic stains do require more aggressive cleaning products but we only use environmentally-friendly products that won't damage your garden. Also, the amount of water that's used to rinse will dilute the cleaning solution to a level where damage is not likely.

Can't I simply go buy or rent a machine from the hardware store and do the cleaning myself?

North Coast Exteriors | Feb 12, 2022
North Coast Exteriors | Feb 12, 2022

Generally, no. Home units are better used for refinishing a piece of furniture, not for larger cleaning jobs. Machines that can be bought or rented only have the capacity to deliver a very small volume of water, usually less than 2gpm. Consequently, a weekend project ends up taking weeks to finish and causing unnecessary damage to wood or concrete because a tip that's more suitable for stripping paint than cleaning was used.

Will pressure washing damage my stucco/siding?

North Coast Exteriors | Feb 12, 2022

No. Our industrial strength equipment delivers a high volume of water, but the pressure is dispersed by using various spray patterns. It's rare to hear of damage caused to a building from professional pressure washing.
