I have a 1915 Rauch and Lang electric car.
I am in the process of restoring it. Unfortunatly the only electrical component left in it is the motor. Originally it traveled at about 25 miles an hour for about 40 miles.

I have a theory. If the wheels on a car are spinning? Why can't you have one set of wheels driving the car an one set charging a second battery. So with two batteries can this be achieved? I would like to build it

By our modern understanding of physics:-
Getting up to speed requires energy - converting energy stored in the battery pack into momentum
Turning the generator to cause electricity generation requires energy, depleting the momentum ,an electric car battery can be recharged while the car is moving are envisioning a perpetual motion machine that's in violation of the Conservation of Energy principle.
From Wikipedia: A perpetual motion machine is a hypothetical machine that can do work indefinitely without an energy source. This kind of machine is impossible, as it would violate the first or second law of thermodynamics.

Many factors such as how much range and acceleration. Its a beautiful but heavy car to convert. $20-30K to do well.
