Ive been coming to Windham primary care for YEARs and Ive finally had enough. The receptionists are rudeunprofessional and HATEEE their jobs. I watched Receptionist Joanne YELL at a disabled man cause he was deaf and she was already 20 minutes late getting outta work. Move to Northern Light its right down the road and they treat you like a human being.

After taking our son here for a few months we have decided to try the location in Westbrook. Half of our appointments have been cancelled after making them weeks or months in advance, and every time the next available appointment is always at least a month out. I don't think it's professional in the least bit, and my baby shouldn't have to wait an extra month for his wellness appointments, especially when he's scheduled for vaccinations. Appointments that are cancelled by the practice should be of higher priority, especially if it is concerning a newborn/infant. It's a shame because we really loved our pediatrician, but what's the point if we can't get in to see him? Also, the same woman I've spoken with each time this has happened has an awful attitude and never calls back when she says she will. I'm the one you are inconveniencing, the least you can do is act decent. I plan to provide this feedback with the appropriate people.

I have dealt with several doctors over the years because of moving and having separate physicians for my children. Lakes Region (maybe all of MMP practices but I can only speak for LR) is BY FAR THE WORST. Everything from re-filling appointments, creating unscheduled "urgent" appointments, alternative caretakers (redundant paperwork was misplaced, not communicated, refused despite all consents, just a mess all around), talking to competent employees who notice and care about immediate needs. I've never seen standards this low. I should have walked out the moment I saw a doctors office with no toys for kids. I mean in 2 years of having doctors there (love Dr. Murray, hate this practice) I can't tell you how many times I tried to leave. If I had the option to do it again I'd wait months for an opening somewhere else rather than go through this practice again. RUN.

If you are thinking about being a patient here. Don't. The doctors are pretty good and I like mine enough that I have yet to switch despite the continuous nightmare of dealing with their office. I agree with the reviewer who indicated that the person in charge of the office should be fired. I also had a nurse named "Max" tell me when I had yet to be diagnosed Congestive Heart Failure and had passed a asthma test that she had gone "above and beyond for me" (her reference to calling me back) when I indicated that despite the asthma test being negative, I was having shortness of breath, had to sleep sitting up, and could not walk 5 feet without almost passing out, and that I knew something was seriously wrong with me. I cannot imagine any nurse that I know, ever saying that to a patient. Isn't that why they are in that line of work? To help people. She has the worst attitude as do so many other people in that office. Their tone of voice is cold and uncaring as is their body language when you go in. They act like you are a serious interruption to their day. They do not return phone calls. When you have already given a detailed message and they have that message in front of them and you are calling because they never returned the message, they never apologize and they have no problem asking you for all the information again as if this is the first time you are calling. I have now dealt with at least five other doctor's offices since being referred and diagnosed and not one of their offices are like this. The other offices staff are nice and friendly and happy to help in any way they can. I get along with them so well that my Cardiologist actually offered me a job at her office. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this practice. If it wasn't such a pain to get a new doctor, I would have done it a long time ago (I also really like my doctor here and she does not run the office).
