Bought many plants and all have been healthy. Always given great advice on plant care. Definitely a number one choice of nursery to get plants.

Placed an order in June and was told shipping would be 3-5 days, then told it was delayed for 5-10 days, then told again it was delayed 5-10 days, then again, and so on. I never received my plant and when I called today to refund/cancel the order they said that it would ship next week so they would have to charge me a fee for cancellation. So they charged me a fee for cancelling an order I waited 3 months to receive, that never shipped. I ordered lavender plants that are about to go dormant for the season! And I don't believe I would actually receive them if I wanted another week as I was asked to do by the representative. I was told there was nothing I could do about the fee. I also bought a laurel, it did ship and arrive (how come it could come but the lavender couldn't?) but it was nearly dead upon arrival and remains that way. However, due to the plant remaining "viable" due to green appearing within 3 inches of the soil line it doesn't meet the requirements for a partial credit under their warranty either. Generally - a bad experience I will not repeat. Use Spring Hill nursery instead, they have excellent customer service. I'll dispute the cancellation charge with my credit card company but wanted to warn other customers not to expect to receive was you purchase.

Emporer One Japanese Maple We received our tree with a broken main stem and evidence of insect feeding. Should have received a Root Booster package as well, but have not after a week. Emailed the seller, a week latter no responce. Not impressed!

I'm sorry, I've bought on two separate occasions, but didn't have any complaints. Can't comment on customer service complaints.

How does one go about contacting this company ? They took my money and I’ve had no further correspondence. Seems like a scam to me

I did not have a problem with them I ordered a snow fountain weeping cherry tree and I received it within about 2 weeks I planted it in the ground and it is already starting to sprout new blossoms and they sent me a tracking number and I tracked it all the way from when it was shipped this is not a scam

i just received a blue wisteria tree. how quickly does it have to be planted? if it can wait two days, does it need to be in water, or it ok for it to be left out?

Does Nature Hills Nursery use neonicitinoids in/on any of your plants?

Dan Lory | Sep 10, 2021
Nature Hills Nursery, Inc. | Sep 10, 2021

Thank you for your question regarding the use of Neonicotinoids at our nurseries, and it is a good one. First, we do our best to produce plants that are healthy, disease and insect free. We are using best nursery practices to reduce insects or diseases and use less pesticides and fertilizers than ever before. The use of cover crops, increased spacing, and more cultivation is eliminating the use of many chemicals used in the fields at our nurseries. We are now able to direct pesticide applications at the best time of the day when beneficial insects like honey bees are not active. We have also installed acres of pollinator gardens at one of our main facilities to attract bees and beneficial insects to areas that are completely untreated. More recently we have also installed our own bee hives in areas to help with the populations of bees on some of our acreage. So, to answer your question, yes - our nurseries are required to treat as required by law.

I received my endless summer hydrangeas as ordered. Ordered the blushing red. How do I make the flowers red. All I've seen is pink, blues, purple...no red!

I've always been told that to change the color of hydrangeas, to change the acidity of the soil. I have no idea about the reds.

How long does shipping take in United States? NE-WI?

That would be a two day shipment. However, Nature Hills Nursery has locations all across the country.

I would plant ASAP according to directions, stake tree and call Nature Hills on Monday. Wilted leaves may not be a problem but please get it planted soon.
