My first time tent camping in coastal Oregon and Kelly's did not disappoint! The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about the crabbing process and didn't mind all the questions we asked. We took a boat out and caught our own crab, which the staff then cooked up for us. Add in some oysters and clams and it's a seafood lovers paradise. The coin operated showers were clean and a nice welcome. We'll definitely be back!!

We ate here on a recommendation from our VRBO host. We wanted to have some fresh cooked crab, while vacationing in Rockaway. Kelly's did not disappoint. Fun atmosphere with great views. We ordered our crab, they weighed it out, and immediately put it in the steamers. When it was done, they called our name and even showed us how to clean the cooked crab (ask if you can try the crab heart, tastes like chicken). Sat down at one of the large tables and enjoyed some of the best tasting and freshest crab you could get.

This place is super cool because you can either pay for a fishing license and crab traps to catch your own food, or you can pay to have already caught seafood boiled for you. My friend and I attempted to catch our own crab. We bought two cans of beer from their store, grabbed our beach chairs from our van, and then sat on the dock for an hour and caught absolutely nothing lol. But it was an experience and I'm glad we tried it! We were obviously starving afterwards so we paid for some boiled dungrness crab and clams. The crab was pretty expensive but it was so good hot and dipped into melted garlic lemon butter, which you could buy for an extra cost. We sat on the patio and just devoured everything!

It was quite the experience! You definitely don't wanna come if you're looking to make a profit from the crabs you catch, as we only caught one legal. But just going out (it was our first time crabbing) and having fun, it was awesome. I'd recommend coming here!Hi Sophie, yeah there aren't as many keepers after heavy rains but I'm so glad you had fun out there. Just being in a boat experiencing nature makes it worthwhile. Thanks for coming.

Yes they do they have crab.oysters and clams and they are so good
September is best! But, if looking for a good time, anytime is great at Kelly's!
Hi Josh ~ because we have had a very dry winter and spring the crabbing in the bay is better than usual for this time of year. The fall is always THE VERY BEST but sport crabbing is open year round and depending on Mother Nature can be quite productive given the timing with the tides. This coming weekend the best crabbing will be early morning on the incoming tide. We open at 7:00 a.m. - that is your best arrival time :) Call if you have further questions ~ 503-368-5745
That's a prime time to go
Rent ring and bait for $12it is worth the cost. Go get them. They are great e as ting and the marina will cook them and clean them if you want. I say YES...
We paid 41 dollars per night to tent camp at Kelly's around July 11...the sites are grassy and private...there are porta potties scattered around the tent camping area, but there are also bathrooms and showers at the lower area, showers are $1.50...the tent sites are first come first serve, but there are quite a few of them
License and $15 for crab pot and bait..great place!
Sorry ~ we do not ship any seafood 😔
Crabbing has been quite good!! Morning tides are best right now ~ we open at 7:00am
Yes it will fit. We had a 40 ft in there.
NO NO NO !! IT IS NOT FREE!!! But loads of fun😎 Kelly knows how to make people smile!! Can't put a price on fun!!! Hope you have a good time!? GOD BLESS & STAY HEALTHY
No ~ no live bait
Yes campsites open
Both correct answers😊 we give complete instructions and you are within eyesight of the marina at all times! Nehalem Bay is small and very user friendly 🦀
Yes, Stephanie ~ we have an overflow parking area where you can leave your R.V. while you are here😁
Robert - we don't really have space to accommodate that size of a boat. Our launch is very tricky (tight backing up and low hang on the roof line) and our moorage spaces are limited - especially during low tide series. I would suggest trying Garibaldi marina :) Janice Kelly's Brighton Marina
100$ thats what i paid i think just for 2 hrs
Hi Lisa ~ dogs are okay on the boats, just not down on the dock if you are dock crabbing 😊Must be leashed and cleaned up after 😉
Although the boats aren't huge we had a great time. We had My buddy, his wife, their daughter, my 5 year old, my 18 y/o exchange student, and myself. There was enough room for all that and for us to catch 15 crabs in about an hour. My buddy and I are planning on going again this coming September.
Thanks thats awesome to know. Better to know ahead then drive from seattle wa to find out.
Hi Cameron ~ our boats have 9.9 hp motors on them so they are exempt from the mandatory boaters license requirement (anything over 10 hp requires the license) Crabbing licenses are $10 for Oregon residents and $19 for a three day non-resident. We sell them on site or you can go to www.odfw.org and register to receive one on line. Janice
