Do you need a boating license/education license for renting the boats? Also, how much are crabbing licenses?

Hi Cameron ~ our boats have 9.9 hp motors on them so they are exempt from the mandatory boaters license requirement (anything over 10 hp requires the license) Crabbing licenses are $10 for Oregon residents and $19 for a three day non-resident. We sell them on site or you can go to www.odfw.org and register to receive one on line. Janice

I think the license is $15

They have very simple outboard motors and will run you through a quick tutorial before you take off. Obviously boating experience is a major plus. But the only licence you need is the fishing/crabbing licence which as mentioned by others, they sell at the marina.

You just need a fishing license of some sort. You can purchase them at the marina. The cost per pass depends on what type of pass you are looking to buy.
