Dr.Upshaw is great she takes time to listen to the patient I was totally upset when Alice Rochow left office but I'm thinking that she guided me in the right direction with Mrs.Upshaw you are the bomb Upshaw so far I want to shout out thanks for your patience and time you take with me .

Very impressed from start to finish. The front desk couldn't have been kinder, the nurse was personable and knowledgeable, Kayla (I forget the exact job title) was wonderful. And the nurse practitioner (Dr. Upshaw) was great as well! Would 100 percent recommend to anyone! There was no wait, I was in and out in less than an hour from start to finish as a new patient. Everyone made me feel right at home; I had my 3 year old with me for my visit and everyone was so kind to her, she is way less scared of going to the Dr after coming to my visit!

I was excited when I did my intake with behavioral health. I truly thought after the hour and half appointment, wow they are really going to help me. I’m 42 years old, I’ve been diagnosed bipolar 1 since my early 20’s, ADHD since my teens and various other mood disorders. I’m not the kinda bipolar people make these cute memes about, I’m the kind that I’m afraid of myself. I have extreme lows and highs. I do things I am horrified by, I treat my friends and family in unspeakable ways. I’ve gotten better over the years and learned to stay on my MEDS. They told me no problem getting my meds and I’m currently sitting in the office waiting because guess what there’s a problem with my meds. I’m starting a new job tomorrow and if very difficult to work. I’m all over the place but I want to be SUCCESSFUL. I don’t want to be some victim using my illness as means to not achieve things. Saying that I can’t help what I have. Dealing with this, waiting in this office, being lied to about medications. It makes me what to give up. It’s such a struggle to get HELP. You have to jump through hoops and show 10 years back of documentation. I don’t want to be sick, I don’t want to even be on meds but I have too. It’s not an option for me. Yet here I sit when waiting. It’s really sad. We build this trust having to divulge such embarrassing things and then have to come and ADVOCATE for ourselves to get our mental health needs met. If you are someone who’s reading this and discouraged by hard it is to get help. Don’t quit. Keep fighting. You are worth it. I’ll wait till I get seen, I’ll push through to start a new job no matter how I’m treated here. I would not recommend coming here but I don’t have many options. If you are in that situation try another free clinic. This should be a last resort.

The health department in the plaza does. And yes they should.
The first Wednesday of every month Johnson Health Center opens later due to department meetings. We apologize for the inconvenience.
