It seems that more and more antique shops I discover these days offer a variety country rustic and completely mediocre items which just happen to be from a generation or two ago. Items discovered in Grandma's basement and brought in to generate some cash. Federal House Antiques on Main Street in Lynchburg, VA is like walking in to a museum where the items are for sale and can be yours. The first time I walked in here, I had a great conversation with the owner and he graciously gave me an extensive overview on Sandwich glass works. I have learned more on subsequent visits, and I can say he really knows a lot about antiques and I would recommend this establishment if you are looking for authentic items with historical gravitas.
