Wish I could leave a 0 star review. Terrible service. Impossible to get ahold of. They have made the entire process of putting a roof on for one of our customers a complete nightmare.

The short blond haired lady should not be at the front desk attempting customer service. She is not very nice and not very helpful. I got to say though the only reason why I am giving the department a five star review is because of Mike Roush. Very nice guy and is always willing to help. Mike has great customer service. Mike I give you the five stars. Keep up the good work buddy. The department definitely needs more like you

What are the requirements to demolish and fill in a swimming pool at an apartment building?

allen leung-wolf | Sep 10, 2019
Gregg Bly | Sep 10, 2019

Not everyone loves an inground swimming pool, particularly if operating costs are high or the pool is aging and needs expensive repairs or replacement. Local zoning codes govern exactly what can be done, but typically there are two choices. In partial demolition/removal -- sometimes called "filling in the pool" -- the tops of the walls are removed and the lower portions are buried in place (with holes punched for drainage). With full demolition/removal absolutely everything is pulled out before the site is filled in. If a building is planned on or near the former pool site, then full removal is required.

I live in Olde Towne East and want to rebuild a yard retaining wall that borders the city sidewalk. Do I need a permit for this type of work ? I will be placing wall stones on the city sidewalk during rebuild and have orange cones to block sidewalk

You will need a permit. Go to the Building Dept. and ask the receptionist to speak to a "and examiner" . Take a sketch of what you want to do.
