The tour was fun. So interesting how caves can look so different. Our tour guide was new, but she was so funny and knowledgeable. It was a great experience. If you are traveling with small children, plan to hold them for the entire tour.

This is a nice place pretty peaceful, lots of plants trees and greenery, you couldn’t tell you were near the Highway, best of all the folks in the store at check in and in the antique store are the most friendly people, we found some nice stuff at the antique store and gift shop, prices very reasonable, BUT most of all, I left my cell phone at the counter while paying for items, we drove to our site I realized my phone was missing my wife called and they were waiting for me to come and get it before they left, yes the store had closed but the young lady said she knew I’d be back right away . Honest, friendly, clean In my view a 10 star attitude

This place was a nice side adventure for my husband and I while we were out there for a week. We had a day free up and decided to visit the caverns. I can't remember our guides name but she was a lot of fun and very knowledgeable. The caverns were beautiful! The shop and antique store were fun to walk through. I wish I could have purchased some of the crystals and stones they had. I definitely recommend a visit if you have a few hours to spare.

Very neat caverns. We really enjoyed our little over an hour tour. Plenty.of walking room, no crazy tight places, and our tour guide was very funny. I'd recommend this tour but to be prepared, bring a light jacket and good shoes. Its damp and can be slippery (we didnt have any problems) and they have hand rails to help hold. Very pretty! Go see!

Dixie Caverns isn't doing the Haunted Cave anymore. The last one was in 2008.
Virginia tech is exit 118, Dixie Caverns is exit 132. I'd say it's about a 20-30 minute drive.
Yes
When we went it was like 14 or 15 dollars a person Takes about an hour
Toured cavern in August. Tour guide didn't speak about any such myth or fable.
Too long... Guide rambled about topics not related to caverns, very large group that lingered and lagged behind... Too many stairs to count....
About 12 miles. Take I-81 north to exit 141 then left, follow VA signs.
Open year round
It is $14 a person normally. we had found a coupon on an advertisement for 2 dollars off each person which was nice
I just read $38 and some change for a night
No animals are allowed in the cave
No, walk through only.
No dogs we had service dog we were refused admittance .amd they were not nice about it either
Id post... As long as its positive in nature they probably could use the promotion.
No. There are over 300 stairs. It is about a quarter mile walk through the caverns. There are campgrounds and parking area appropriate for a dog on a leash, but not on the tour of the caverns.
I do not know the policy. I'm sure if yoh ask they might be willing to do something for the military. Very friendly store also the prices are not outrageous.
