Worst experience with mail I've ever had. I was expecting a pet memorial from Alabama, with a scheduled delivery date of July 28th, 2022 by 8:00 PM. It was out for delivery July 25th, 2022 at 7:18 AM. The package was allegedly delivered at 7:36 PM on July 25th, 2022; more than 12 hours after it was out for delivery, 3 days before schedule. We received no rings to our intercom, no knocks on our door, no "Missed Delivery" slip (PS Form 3849) in/on/at our mailbox. There have been boxes and parcels of similar size that have been placed into our mailbox before. A case was opened on July 26, 2022 (the day I even found out the package status was updated). It should have been resolved by Friday, July 29, 2022. (It has since been escalated to the District office.) In the time between those dates, the Post Office has: - Had their phone line off/out of service and then hung up on us without so much as a "hello" when we began calling to investigate. (July 27) - Had "technical difficulties" with the GPS system (which I don't hold the worker helping us, Josh, at fault for) and gave us the closest address: "5075 [Avenue]", which is nonexistent but pings to the middle of the nearest street on Google Maps. - Had the courier responsible for delivery go on vacation without questioning her, and told us she won't be back until Monday, August 1st. On Friday, July 29, 2022, we were finally given a straight answer: The package had been "delivered" to the neighboring building. After heading over and talking with the tenant they actually checked their mailbox with us present in an attempt to help us; they found someone ELSE'S mail from a different building not even in our court! The tenant also didn't receive any intercom rings, knocks, or Missed Delivery slips for our package. A different tenant in the building told us the couriers usually leave packages on the floor in that building, and they themself were ALSO missing packages. These items cannot be replaced; they have MAJOR sentimental value and are unique in nature, as well as costing me over $350 to have shipped out, processed, and delivered back to me. Trying to find this package has cost me time, energy, and sleep for what should have been the simplest part of its journey. I cannot begin to explain the anger and emotional distress I've experienced over this situation. The ONLY helpful parties in this have been Josh from this post office, who helped us with the initial investigation and Greg from the customer service line, who helped us to escalate the matter. I will likely never trust the USPS in the future, and have all future mail held at the office for pickup. I recommend others save themselves the stress and do the same.

I was waiting on line for 15 minutes on passport window to ask about an issue with passport exactly today’s date and time and when I had my turn the lady with a nasty face looked at me and ask, you have appointment? I said no I just have one quick question and she without telling anything else made signs with his hand calling the person behind me and kicking me out of line just like that, this kind of people isn’t not what we expect when visiting customer service at post office, it made me feel humiliated and lost of interest about this place at all. That’s not how you suppose to treat people.

Had a great experience getting a passport application done with Theresa! She was quick, helpful, and very friendly. Thank you so much for a painless process! Note to passport applicants: plan to schedule an appointment at least six weeks in advance. You’ll be hard-pressed to find anything earlier.

Waited in line for twenty minutes just to make sure the package i was dropping off - with postage already on it - was scanned into the USPS system. Only for the woman behind the counter to tell me ~they don't do that anymore~ and I should wait on line for the machine where i can do it myself (even though it doesn't result in the same thing - it still won't show that it's in the USPS system, only that you scanned it at a kiosk) In any case, i realize the USPS doesn't NEED to actually care about providing decent customer service but this was just rude. Miserable people exhausting what little authority they have in their day to day lives. I miss my old post office 😔
