Get there early! Our friends held their day after wedding things here and we’re able to snag some space, but definitely fills up quickly.

Bank Street Beach is a beauty. Nice white sand, gently sloping shore line and nice clean restrooms . The water was warm and clear with small waves. Very little seaweed. My sister and I enjoyed two beautiful days there at the end of June

The water was so nice and warm! Beach is clean, white and sandy, easy parking and shower stalls with bathrooms. Restaurants closeby for after beach chilling..

We come after 4pm when we aren't driving the car with the sticker so as not to have to pay. Seems like a completely different dynamic in the early evening than during the day. You can see the flash of the lighthouse see the tip of Monomoy Island in the distance. Nice to visit during the day or before sunset. There are bathrooms here but only open during the day. Sometimes there is a mobile snack trailer. Kids love to climb the lifeguard tower once the lifeguards are gone for the day. Amazing sunsets when the weather is right.

Yes
At harwich town council office i would assume
Not allowed Memorial Day until Labor Day.
It's safe to swim. There is a lifeguard and they will post signs if there are shark warnings
As Jason Komyashy and Jim Mooney said, dogs are allowed on the beach from the day after Labor Day to the day before Memorial Day, so right now, yes. There's a $50 fine for not picking up after them (the so-called Scooper Law). From Memorial Day to Labor Day, Red River is the only town beach that permits dogs, and then only in the parking lot from dawn to 9 AM and 4:30 PM to dusk. No other town beaches allow dogs on the beach, which includes the parking lots, dunes, and water.
I'm with Jason Komyathy. I'm not sure I even knew that there were lifeguards there still and not just lifeguard chairs, since I only go off-season (despite being a year-round Harwich resident) and have never seen a lifeguard at any town beaches.
