I make cat pillows/dog beds in my spare time. I use remnants from the fabric store and put hase stuffing in bulk. My 85 year old neighbor is on oxygen and used a walker. She lives by herself. I try to visit her several times a month with craft projects, puzzles and baking activities. Helping me stuff the pillows for the Herkimer Humane Society is by far her favorite activity! These are just some of the pillows we donated this month!

I recently lost my cat near herkimer county, he has not been found yet. But I really appreciate herkimer county humane society taking the time to call me today and update me when they got a cat matching my cats description. Even though it wasn’t him, I appreciate them thinking of me and taking the time to see if it was my cat. It gives me hope that my cat could turn up there 🙏🏼 Thank you

Herkimer County Humane Society was the best shelter I visited when I was looking for a cat. They were professional and friendly, and had the best cat room by far! After several visits, I picked Miss Emily Pickles. She’d had surgery on one eye to remove an ulcer, and she has some problems with her other eye, but that doesn’t bother her. She’s fond of chasing things I can’t even see. If you’re looking to adopt, I recommend HCHS. And consider an animal that’s less than perfect. I did, and soon found out she IS perfect!

Everyone was SO welcoming and absolutely amazing!! I truly can't thank Melissa enough for how patient and kind she was! ❤️ The whole ride home the now named Milo aka my-my didn't move at all! He slept through the car ride, then slept through the moving process of finding a scarf that was comfortable as well as breathable in the heat. He finally chose this green one. But he did like the thick warm one that resembled fur. But it was far too hot for right now. And Charlie is just being a goof and checking everything out 😂 he's finally made himself right at home all snuggled up! I'm so thankful for these beautiful, amazing and loving companions ❤️❤️

We have a kitten that we brought in from the cold. We can't keep it, as we have 3 already. Its a male, approximately 5-6 months old. Needs to be fixed, and will probably need shots. If you are still interested.... Feel free to contact me to know more.
They accept any unopened dog food
They deal with Dogs and Cats but can redirect you to someone or somewhere with other animals.
Cows have heavy fur and a thick hide and tolerate the cold pretty well. If the cold starts getting to them they arch their backs.
It is best to call them to determine their availability to accept additional animals
Hey Miss, I would definitely look into 4petsake in Mohawk. Last I knew, they open on Wednesdays. Call and leave message/info.
I have 3 kittens from the same litter available.
They have all different sizes you need to call
Go check them out during open hours, call them, & "Like" them on facebook and they will keep you updated so you can see when one comes in for adoption.
Get em to the animal shelter or a foster home. They're doomed without your help.there is one just outside herkimer and one along route 12 in Deerfield
I've seen all sort of dogs there, you would have to visit the place
Asking ? There are forms to be filled out and approvals to be done as it is an adoption process if that is what you mean.
I would imagine you could bring proof of ownership pictures ,vet papers , etc.. They are very nice people , and should be able to help you
No the shelter does not take ferrets
They can not except any cats right now bc there is way too many cats there right now but they will tell u where u can bring them
Don't think so.
I'm not sure if microchipping is included in the price but adoption fees are $140, I think.
What kind do they have?how much?
Maybe you can ask some neighbors that have pets if you can help them?
Call and ask
Unfortunately most places are always full especially with cats, because there are so many dropped off and people don't sterilize :-( You should call and speak to someone.
Where r u located
Well go.get kitten formula and start bottle feeding . Is mom first time mom
Contact your local animal control officer
They are a no kill shelter they work with all animals until they are adopted out so that they are safe and they sometimes save animals from a kill shelter so that the animals get a safe place until they are adopted
They don't have any right now. They aren't something they normally get. Yoi could probably call and leave your name and number so if they get one they could call you.
