Outstanding selection and unparalleled quality. A friend brought me for lunch and everything was simply incredible. I can't wait to go back.

I got food from here for Passover for my friend and I. It was absolutely delicious. Sharon was extremely helpful as well as her father. I wish I was going to be in Tampa longer so I could return to this place more often. Highly recommend!!

Really good whitefish, good lox. Hard to find a Jewish deli in the area, they fill the void. Prices are way too high. I guess when you have the monopoly you can get away with $20/lb for whitefish salad 🤷🏽

On their website they write that everyone feels like home at Jo-el's and that's exactly how we felt a minute after walking inside. We were greeted warmly as we entered by the Joe the co-owner and every employee we passed made a point to greet us and warmly interact. The aroma of a real Kosher NY deli greets you as the door opens too. We drove 2 hrs one way, from Orlando, to pick up essentials for our family members in Oklahoma who are longing for the real thing. We weren't disappointed! Since the people behind the deli counter were preparing orders for others, Sharon the manager, arrived in a flash to ask how she could help. We had waited all of 2 minutes! She took our orders and made the connection with us right away further reinforcing how welcome we were and how much our visit was appreciated. She LISTENED, not just to the details of the order, but to the chit chat and when she heard we had driven from Orlando she immediately made sure we knew they deliver to Orlando for the future. Our lunch was delicious, freshly made and served at our table with kindness that is often missing in the fast paced world. Even though it was getting close to closing time ever employ behind the deli counter took time to get our sliced meat, fish, and knish order right and prepared with care. No need to ask for the 3 lbs of corn beef to be packed in individual lbs it was done without asking. As we were paying for our purchase the Joe asked if we wanted ice to keep the food chilled for our drive back to Orlando. This goes on my list of places I wish I had discovered 15 years ago when we moved to Orlando from Louisiana instead of discovering it 2 days before we move from Orlando to Oklahoma! The good news is my sister is coming from Oklahoma to Tampa for her daughter's destination wedding in April and she knows she has to make at least 1 visit to Jo-el's Kosher Deli while she's in town. I could write a short story about how much we enjoyed our food, the shopping experience and the conversation but you really HAVE to go so you can feel the atmosphere and taste the food for yourself!!
