Absolutely awful experience with Derrick

I rarely write reviews but after today's experience I feel I have no choice. I've been cashing my company preprinted payroll checks at this location for near 5 years. Was informed today by the teller and later the manager the max they would cash was $2000 and declined to cash my check because I'm not a member of WF. I was given the opportunity to open an account as the only resolution but declined. This has never been the case and the manager couldn't provide where that policy exists but said it came from his boss and was the case throughout the district from south Tampa to carrolwood. The policy isn't posted anywhere in the branch. Funny how 4 other WF locations in the district have zero problems cashing my check. What blows my mind is it's not their money. It's a transaction between my employer and me. Hence the whole reason to decline giving WF my banking business!

literally just went there and explained my situation to the guy at the desk & he spoke to me like i was a liar just bc he hadn’t heard of what i was saying before. it was so rude & i wasn’t lying & this wells fargo sucks fr

They do not have a person on the front desk asking what do you need, so I did a line for 40 minutes for nothing because they don't have nobody that could do my transaction.
