Beautiful little garden, it of course has all of the Florida native butterflies, but to my surprise a small koi pond as well. The garden itself was small, but it's meant for the butterflies, so I can't honestly even say that was a bad thing. The staff was also super enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the butterflies and the plants required to feed them, as well as house their eggs. All around a wonderful trip, I drove two hours to come down and see them and I was most certainly not disappointed.

Love this shop. Make reservations to eat, grab a mimosa and shop for your South Florida garden needs in this cute shop. Gorgeous plants. Lovely books. We spoke to Susan and she was very helpful and knowledgeable with frugal ways to have a backyard butterfly garden

The butterfly greenhouse is always exciting to visit - the beautiful colors of the butterflies floating by - very soothing and restful, sit on a bench and relax, enjoying the colors. The artists' co-op has wonderful art work: jewelry, clothing, sculpture, pottery, paintings....great place to find unique gifts. The plant store is educational and sells plants to attract butterflies to your garden/yard. Bullig's restaurant is the BEST restaurant for waffles - breakfast waffle combos or sandwiches made with waffles...the BEST!! And hot chocolate to die for... Yummmmm!!

Found this place on accident but so glad we did! The staff was very welcoming and very knowledgeable. They have quite a variety of butterflies and seem to take great care of them along with maintaining a clean and beautiful habitat. Tickets are very reasonably priced and grant you access all day until they close, fun for all ages!

Don't know about the mites but we just bought 2 milkweed that we left in the pots and put along side the ones we have planted in garden. As soon as we see the larvae we put the plants in the zippered net habit we bought. That way they are safe from the lizards. Once they turn into the butterflies we can then release them. Right now we have 3 in the habitat.
