What are these small orange (mites) on my milkweed. Also, the lizards are eating the eggs off of my plants. Any advice on how to handle these issues would be much appreciated.

Don't know about the mites but we just bought 2 milkweed that we left in the pots and put along side the ones we have planted in garden. As soon as we see the larvae we put the plants in the zippered net habit we bought. That way they are safe from the lizards. Once they turn into the butterflies we can then release them. Right now we have 3 in the habitat.
