Went to get a passport for my son, and was turned away due to no appointment in the system. Next appointment wasn't until a month out. There were no customers in the post office, and I had the application filled out and my documents ready. All they needed to do to was take payment and a headshot.. I understand we went through a pandemic, but the city is opening up on July 1st, and if hospitals can take walk-ins so can they.....

Renting a small P.O. box for six months costs as little as $19 in some locations, while in other locations the cost is $75. A full breakdown of the costs in each region is available on the U.S. Postal Service website. Varies by location but at the FDR office at 909 3rd avenue, the smallest box is 3"x5.5 and costs $43.00 every six months.
If you have a 10 year passport you just mail the passport and application (DS 82) to renew it. If you have a 5 year passport you have to go to the passport window with the application (DS 11). Applications are excepted every day from 10am - 4pm mon, tues, wed and fri. 10am - 5pm on thrus., and 10am - 2pm on sat.
If you have a 10 year passport that has not been expired more then 5 year, you must mail it in using Form DS-11. You can pick up the form at this post office. The fee is $110.00 for 4-6 week return, or $170.00 with a 3 week turn around time. But if you have a 5 year passport you must come to the passport window for us to mail it out. You need Form DS-11. Pease read the first page carefully because YOU MUST bring your originals and COPIES of documents. In addition to the passport fee; you must pay a processing fee of $35.00. If you go to windows 7 or 8 they will be happy to explain everything to you. They also take photos there for an additional fee of $15.00.
It is the corridor where things arrive, it may be that you are not there when they are going to leave you things and take you there to look for it or also ebay has it blocked
