Best small airport in town.

I came in today to the Glitz restaurant for some lunch as I was working in the area. Once I enter the building I was greeted by the waitress and was asked if I had a preference where I wanted to sit,( nice touch ). I ordered the BAM cheeseburger, which includes bacon, avocado and mushrooms. This cheeseburger is huge and somewhat messy. I was able to eat most of it before the bun fell apart and I had to use a knife and fork to finish it. Nevertheless it was still really good. The restaurant was exceptionally clean my waitress did a outstanding job.

Our new FBO has avgas and jet fuel at great prices and has many services including flying lessons and plane rentals. He also has one or more mechanics to work on your airplane if needed.. His pilot lounge has many amenities.

The Bakersfield Airport is small but cozy. The staff here are very friendly and are willing to help travelers with all of their needs. The high prices of travelling in and out of this airport can easily be a major concern for any frequent traveller.

If you mean scheduled commercial flights, those are done from Meadows Field in the North Side of the city. Contact them for flight schedules
