Hello, and thank you for your wonderful question… We do at times have to lock the store for cleaning or spills as well as any hazards that may occur in the store. I apologize for the inconvenience, but since our workers usually only have a very short overlap between the employees during shift change we only have one person working in the store during all hours of the day. And unfortunately, that requires them to close the doors in case they need to use the restroom or like I said earlier, if there are any emergencies or hazards that need to be cleaned up inside of the store. I work at this location and working alone can be difficult since we are humans and we sometimes have to take care of our business. The only time an employee will lock the store and be smoking outside is when they are taking their state law mandatory 10 minute break and they will lock the store and take their break. There is no way around this if there is no one there to cover the break, which is 99% of the time.
