Absolutely wonderful trip! Saw close to 10 whales, hundreds of sea lions, a couple seals and some birds in just a couple hours. Weather was nice and water was not too rough. If whale watching is on your bucket list definitely try Discovery Whale Watch and Captain Isiah!

This was the best part of my trip to Monterey. The best thing about this trip is that they split the guests up into two separate boats. Instead of forcing you to pay more for premium viewing areas like other boats do, this company splits everyone up. The result is that there is a ton of viewing room for everyone. It's not crowded and you don't get pushed around or have to deal with people sticking their cameras in your face! You're not on a luxury boat for sure, but they do their damn best to make sure you see what you came to see! And they're super nice. We got lost and so we were running late and Amanda called us to make sure we were still coming and she guided me to the building. Captain Danny was awesome and so knowledgeable. He even got my two teenage girls cracking up a few times. We saw sea lions, sun fish, Risso's dolphins, a million jellies, and the most absolute amazing view of humpbacks. We were absolutely blown away by the experience. Again, hands-down the best part of our trip.

Was an excellent experience! The crew was knowledgeable and careful - we had an amazing experience - the whales were SO CLOSE to the boat, and we saw SO Many! The crew had such interesting facts and stories - really made the whole trip come alive. I highly recommend this! Our crew: Danny, Caila & Isaiah - were out of this world! Wanted to add more photos but i mostly took videos, which it won't let me add.

I had an AMAZING whale watching experience! We saw 12-14 humpback whales, grey porpoises, sea lions, a sea otter, lots of birds. And thanks to Isaiah the naturalist, we understood why we were seeing the things we were! Kayla and Capt Matt and Isaiah were friendly, knowledgeable and enthusiastic. And enthusiasm is key!

I'd give em a call to find out for sure! When we were there a couple weeks ago they had 2 trips a day- one in the morning and one in the afternoon.
No, you can usually get tickets the same day, unless they don't have enough people.
Sometimes you can find a special on Groupon and sometimes it’s a good one and sometimes not so much. Totally worth it especially now in the summer.
