What an absolutely wonderful experience!! The humpback whales swam so close to our boat! We even saw a couple of blue whales in the distance. Whenever a crew member spotted a blue whale, they came on the speaker and informed us where to look and then the boat went full speed ahead to try to get closer. It was very exhilarating! The crew were great and it was so fascinating to learn about the different behaviors of the whales and sea lions. We went on the 9am boat and it was very chilly and windy on the water, so make sure to bring warm clothing!

We had the most memorable experience on our sunset ride. It was just amazing. We saw a mother whale with her baby and a shark! The staff was fantastic, and the tour guide kept us interested. Our kids learned a ton and really enjoyed it. We wholeheartedly recommend it.

The best whale watching experience ever! We took the 9am boat ride and saw many humpback whales within the first hour! The weather was amazing! Definitely need winter jacket and winter hat because it’s cold! We arrived early and we were able to board the boat immediately to sit down and chill (unlike other companies’ boat, they make people stand and wait in line before 9am). The boat is big (2 stories) and the ride was smooth and lesser bumps. Definitely would come back again!

We saw a lot of whales and dolphins and we stayed relatively far away from the animals. Good for the animal welfare but unfortunate for the photographs. The deck was clean and all the crew was friendly. Did not use any of the inside services (bathroom/food etc).

How is the ship divided, can the whales be seen everywhere?

Man can walk to all sides. There are tickets to be upstairs and underdecks - they give more opportunity, but not necessary. On our trip we have many times of 'first rank' the whales can watch (and also much of the 'second rank'.

They do have a restriction on children under 5 and expectant mothers. This is for safety due to the motion on the boat. These boats tend to be rather open with people moving about a lot to see the whales or to deal with sea sickness. With a younger family, you might try going out on a sailboat tour. The seating around the cockpit is usually a bit more snug with less careening about.
