Fantastic ride, great experience! All of the staff was so friendly!! Live music and concessions on board made it even better. Very dog friendly!

This ride is a must. Even the toddler need to have ticket but it’s ok for the maintenance & the service that they continue to provide still. In house toilet, snacks( paid beer, popcorn & other snacks), pet friendly & staff is so humble. You can go back and enjoy the nature in open or sit inside the cabin so you have two options to enjoy. They stop at crowley and kids can enjoy and even you can eat your packed snacks or just enjoy the nature.

If you have never visited this area of California I highly recommend this train ride. The conductor gives you a bit of history on route. The 20 min stopover in Crowley is perfect for a few pictures.

Bought tickets in 2000, lost them for 22 years (& moved twice). Liz at the Skunk Train office honored our tickets and we enjoyed our amazing train ride! Malachi was a wonderful conductor/narrator for our journey through the majestic redwoods! Hope to go again when the steam engine is back in service and the ride can go all the way to Fort Bragg!

Don't think tunnel is open for full trip.
No. It does a modest round trip from Willits in a couple hours. Only goes a few miles. It no longer connects between Willits and Fort Bragg. A tunnel collapsed.
$90.72 for adults unless you're local and then there's a discount
It's about 2 miles or so. Costs $75 round trip which is all you can buy since the train stops halfway up to the coast and then turns around
Mendocino, Lake and Humboldt Counties get the local price
I believe the trip is out to Crowley and back to Willits.
I love trains, so I enjoyed it, unfortunately at this time you can only go part way from Willits, because they are still working on tunnel #2.
I'm grateful to hear it has been spare, for I hope to get up their this upcoming year. Big Basin wasnt so lucky but Roaring Camp railway and Henry Cowell was spared
Very nice 70 s slight breeze gorgeous
Their website has all the details. This is a public forum and they might not see this.
No check the website for prices and location
We've been in sunny weather and rain. It's just a fun trip. In the rain everything is so beautiful and green. In the summer it's still beautiful but a bit dry.
The prices are on their website. https://www.skunktrain.com It depends on which train ride you take, and departure city.
I believe they are running on the Christmas schedule as of December 1st, different route and hours. I would call or check their website.
