I was in the area and on a lark decided to check out the lake. It is truly a hidden gem in these lovely hills! The southern part of the lake had a large layer of lily pads and the water caught the fall colors of the hills perfectly. I wish I had a boat there so I could go out on the water, it was a perfectly tranquil day.

Brought my 91 year old dad out here for a car ride. Neither of us had been here. Looks like a great place to fish. The boat launch area was a little rugged, but hey, I'm sure it is beautiful once you get on the lake.

Not sure what's up at Plum Orchard now. I know the campground near the dam was closed when I was there a couple of weekends ago. I'm not sure that the upper campground is open or not. I don't if there's a funding problem from the state or what but this area is not kept up very well anymore, the weeds weren't cut, all the playgrounds and one of the bathrooms along the road have been removed and the place just doesn't look that good any more.
