DO NOT STORE YOUR THINGS AT THIS FACILITY, chances are you will never see them again. My grandson recently had his storage unit robbed by thieves. Everything in the unit was meant to be moved into his new apartment in a new city he is moving to. After hearing about his experience yesterday, I am left so angry and sad that I had to write this review. It was clear the employees at this location do not care about the situation at hand. We just gifted him his grandfathers watch which was left in the unit and this is a true dagger for our family and our hearts. Apparently there have been countless break ins at this unit and they haven’t done anything to resolve the issue. Just awful. Do not go here, this location deserves to go out of business.

Update: They added motion sensor lights in the interior hallways! They are so much better and a lot easier to use than the previous timer dial ones as they were always really hard for me to turn. Second update (06/28/2022): They posted no smoking signs on some of the buildings. Pros: * Location is clean. * I feel safe visiting my unit alone even at night. * You can use your own lock even if you "purchase" theirs because you reserved the unit online. Cons: * Rates can change monthly and you have to contact the location directly with questions, there is no help at the corporate level. My rate on a 5x5 increased by $30 after 2 months without prior notice. With insurance it's now $107 when it was $70. * Access hours are 6 AM - 10 PM instead of 24/7. * Mobile app is only good for opening the gate, you cannot use it to manage your account or make a payment. * Gate code is really long and hard to memorize. Using the mobile app comes in handy especially if you don't visit your unit often.

Had an excellent experience interacting with the office staff, specifically Neil. We had bought a business in October 2021 that was using two large storage areas. Neil was incredibly helpful getting us to the location and helping us through the eventual transition. Cost were great. Service was excellent. Would highly recommend!

Extra Storage in Santa Clara were great working with me to liquidate my aunt's storage unit after she passed. We've been doing business with them since 2017 and they've always been professional, calling me when the lock was changed and when I accidentally left the unit unlocked. Thank you.

They have trailer spaces at this location but you will need to call for availability. Talk to Niel the Store Manager
You should be able to get in, I've punched in my code at like 9:56 P.M. and it opened, and the gate won't lock you in. You can leave whenever you want, the gate still opens soon as you pull up to it at any hour, but Most likely, the live in manager will kick you out.
