Would give 0 stars if possible. Possibly the worst customer experience I’ve ever had? Car was not ready at time booked and paid for, was told we had to upgrade to get a car or wait. Agent throw the paper back in our face and told us to leave. Lesson learned, avoid this, if not all Budget car rentals

Rude and arrogant staff . Though the car was good and while dropping it at the San Francisco airport had no issues they were very helpful and kind. Staff at Post street branch were absolutely rude and unprofessional. Specially Ms Pat. And one more gentleman who’s name I don’t know. Unless absolutely urgent or unavoidable I wouldn’t recommend anyone to go to this branch .

Placed an order for a Nissan Pathfinder(standard elite suv), came there, q was short but they did not have a nissan pathfinder, which was OK if they had replaced with a similar suv. person at the store, kept trying to get us to switch to a ford edge(standard suv), which i tried to change. She was extremely persistent and even tried pulling out lies like the ford edge was a larger car than the original pathfinder. Felt annoyed and just asked if there were other choices, among them a jeep grand cherokee. decided upon that, while still a downgrade, was at least higher quality. Overall pretty annoying experience since the storewoman desperately tried to lie to us to downgrade instead of just accepting and saying the truth. However, the car was new(grand cherokee), worked well aside from a broken right front blinker.

The car was clean and really good with only 4000 miles. The return service was fast and well done. The pick up service was the WORST service I’ve ever seen. No communication, 3 hours waiting, no details about the car, and rude employee that explains litterally nothing and talk like if we were stupid. If you can tank the checkin, everything must be okay then. But trust, it’s hard.

No after rental drop off. Opens 6 a.m.. won't get charged. Bringing your rental in the morning.
I reserved to pick up at the San Francisco airport and return the car downtown. There was no extra fee. I’ve done this many times.
For special service you need to call to any branch of Budget Car Rental office, they will help you.
Yes, surely you can. We did it last January. We rented a car from LA and doped that off in SF airport. All you need to do is telling them that at the time you are renting or booking the car.
If you don't want to drive yourself, Uber may be an option. Download the app and check it out. But, if you want to drive yourself you can easily rent a car from Budget or any other rental car and drive to LA. They will charge you around $50 more because you are gonna return the car to other location. You can call them or check it on their website.
There are several parking garages in the neighborhood where you can park overnight.
