Fred's tried to repair our six year old Samsung stove. It wouldn't heat oven to above 200 degrees. (I certainly do not recommend anyone buying anything in the Samsung line of appliances). Sixty days later ("We only have one repairman."), the first repairman tried and couldn't fix the oven. He recommended ordering a replacement heating element. When it arrived at Fred's was three months later (By then my wife was furious). The second repairman installed the new part. It didn't heat consistently above 200 degrees when given 15 minutes. I said to take the new heating element out we were not paying for a part that didn't work. The guy said, "We do not warrant parts that have been installed." He left his invoice of $299.87 on the counter unpaid.

We ordered a fridge in January to have delivered in April when the kitchen was ready for it. They delivered and the door of the fridge caused a problem and made it stop working. After they finally sent a tech out, they unhooked electrical part of the door so it at least chilled while they ordered a part. Many weeks later the part was in so a tech was scheduled for another couple weeks out. Guess what, didn't work. Now they want us to wait for a whole door to be ordered in another 5-8 weeks. We have had a partially functioning fridge for months now and we just want a replacement fridge but they refuse to accept any responsibility and put it all on GE. The salesman was extremely rude on the phone (saying we kept it in our garage for months and accusing us of interrupting when we corrected him). Don't buy here if you want any service or help or a functioning product in a reasonable time frame. Update: the manager called and said he was working behind the scenes and got authorized to replace the fridge and they got a replacement out the next day. It's been working so far.

Dishwasher conked out after 2 years (new home construction). Contractor used Freds for appliances. No warranty. Disposable $$$ world now. Walking into Freds was awkward - all sales turned to look yet no one made a move. The one who finally approached was knowledgeable, reasonable and went above & beyond to find the clips for the floor model (supply chain issues). Pick-up day, my son arrived but no one met him at the loading dock. He walked thru the storage area to showroom floor only to be told he cant be back there. No kidding - where were your people? Now i phoned ahead 15 min making sure the clips were in it & sharing my son would be there. I would rate Freds an B grade for sales and the whole experience a C

BEWARE, BEWARE, BEWARE We ordered a brand new, top of the line, GE to our brand new home and they delivered it in Feb. 2022. They ordered it in July 2021. The manufacturer thinks we have at time of this review, 3 months left on warranty. The Washing Machine w/pedestal: GE Model GFW650SPN2SN was delivered damaged. It took another number of weeks to get out the repairman to fix that damage. Now, it still doesn't spin without digging into the brand new flooring and the repairmen for warranty at Fred's is backed up until July around the time the warranty expires. And now, water leaks into the detergent side of the pedestal. We are calling someone else and if that doesn't work, it will be time to invoke the lemon laws.

They should have a good selection of scratch and dent there. I was there in June and they had quite a few Jenn air models scratched up/dents/old models.
Hi Kristine, Unfortunately we do not have a parts department in the Kennewick area. We recommend ReliableParts.com they are a direct distributor of many brands including GE that we use regularly. If you go to their website they can ship directly to you (They have local warehouses in Spokane and Tukwila) or you can call their Spokane branch (509) 328-7062. If you are in need of a service tech we can send one out in your area and could preorder the part if it wasn't a "Truck Stocked" part and a tech was sure it was the part needing replaced. Thank you for your inquiry! We will deliver to Othello, but unfortunately any gas installation must be done by a licensed and bonded gas technician. We can certainly help you find a third party who would be able to do this work for you. One other thing to be aware of and note with a sales associate and/or installer at the time of purchase would be to let everyone know whether it will be connected to natural gas or LP. Most, but not all gas ranges, are shipped ready for natural gas but can be converted to LP. Sometime this requires an additional LP kit at an extra charge (In most cases the range will come with an LP conversion kit shipped with the product). We deliver to Othello every Thursday for $99.98 and depending on what type(Slide in/free standing), features, and model a gas range will cost $499 and up.
Hi Nancy, Your protection plan is still valid. We have worked closely with the insurance commission to make sure that there were no disruptions with existing contracts for our customers. Fred's Appliance was under the mistaken impression that our Protection blanket plus fell outside of the Insurance Commission's rules on Service Contracts and Insurance. Once we were notified about our mistake we took action to prevent any of our customers from losing out on the benefits of the plan and paid the additional retroactive taxes (2% for contracts) levied by the Insurance Commission for these types of contracts and the penalty for our mistake. We hope that you will see that although we made a mistake we are working closely with the state to make sure our customers are taken care of and that we can still provide our protections blankets for future purchases.

Hello and thank you for your inquiry. Yes we do charge for delivery but always make sure you don't pay more here than you would if you purchased from someone offering free delivery. Please be aware delivery does not include installation. This requires a licensed and bonded plumber. If you choose to have it installed, the company we would refer you to includes bringing it with them to your home in their fee for installation. They also include disposal of your old one in the installation fee. Best Regards
