Hi Nancy, Your protection plan is still valid. We have worked closely with the insurance commission to make sure that there were no disruptions with existing contracts for our customers. Fred's Appliance was under the mistaken impression that our Protection blanket plus fell outside of the Insurance Commission's rules on Service Contracts and Insurance. Once we were notified about our mistake we took action to prevent any of our customers from losing out on the benefits of the plan and paid the additional retroactive taxes (2% for contracts) levied by the Insurance Commission for these types of contracts and the penalty for our mistake. We hope that you will see that although we made a mistake we are working closely with the state to make sure our customers are taken care of and that we can still provide our protections blankets for future purchases.
