I've never have had a worse experience with a doctor of any kind. He was not only rude and took a phone call from his accountant for almost an hour while I was in the inside room waiting for him to come back (I could hear his entire conversation through the thin wall), but his outside waiting room had only old overstuffed uncomfortable chairs and elderly people were having difficulty getting up from them. Let me also add that there were holes in the wall that I could've fixed with just a little bit of time and spackle. His staff wasn't too bad but I can't over emphasize how difficult and unprofessional this man was both in and out of Mercy Hospital. I might add that while I am posting this review today, my experience with him occurred a couple of years ago. Hopefully conditions have improved. I just noticed a request from him todelete the review. He lied in his statement about my review since I was in his office and described it in great detail in my review as anyone could see. If I could give zero stars in this review I would.

I can't say enough positive remarks about Dr. Horstmyer and his office. His staff went out of their way to help me, which I've found is rare in today's medical offices. Dr. Horstmyer himself was thorough and kind and communicated in a way that put me at ease. Truly a wonderful doctor and staff.

Dr. Horstmyer is wonderful. My mom has Alzheimer's and ever since I started taking her to Dr. Horstmyer, we have been able to keep her calm and comfortable. Everytime I have called Dr. Horstmyer with a question, he has returned my calls and has helped to answer my questions/resolve any issues or concerns. Dr. Horstmyer has kept me informed on what to expect from the disease and how to manage each phase. He has sent me literature and information on treatments. Because of that, I feel that I am well prepared to handle this difficult situation. The entire staff is friendly, caring and empathetic. They work hard to help in any way they can and they do a great job setting up appointments. I love the entire staff. Dr. Horstmyer listens and gives great advice and medical attention. I highly recommend him to anyone seeking a neurologist.

Excellent Doctor and human being. The hole group in the office (Doctor and staff) are excellent.. They will go the extra mile for their patient. I recommend them with no doubt. It is very hard now a days to find a doctor and his staff with their human side developed the way this group is. As a patient you are not just a number but you are a person with questions and doubts that they are always willing to assist and make you feel better and safe. Nothing gives more peace of mind than knowing your condition is being treated by a group of people that know what they are doing and really care about you. We need more doctors and staff like this.!!!!!
