A bit understaffed but very helpful. Got my cat's prescription food pretty quickly. Their vet verified the prescription with my vet, and got the food for my picky kitty. Kitty went on a hunger strike because the dog growled at him...Smh...at least all is well now, cat is eating, puppy is in Supermax at home and cat is looking substantial.

I've had good experiences at Banfield Lacienega and decided to try Banfield Pico after getting my cat groomed at the Pico PetSmart location. Big mistake...HUGE. I made my appointment on May 8th for the 16th at 10:30a. Minutes later, I get an emailed confirmation for the 16th at 11:45a. I noticed the discrepancy, but figured they double booked and needed to push my appointment. The appointment was on a Sunday, I knew I had nothing to do, so I wasn't tripping. The day before my appointment, they call and verbally confirm my 11:45a appointment. So, I was really surprised when I arrived at 11:40a, only to be castigated by Andrea, who is rude AF, for being more than an hour late. I told her my appointment was confirmed for 11:45a and showed her the email, to which she responded, "that's weird..." no apology—just that's weird. After three hours, when they still hadn't examined Neptune, I was ready to call it quites and take him home; as they were closing early: 3pm and he was there after closing still waiting to be seen by Dr. Ross. The moment I asked to take him, they rush to examine him; cause of course, they want my money and wouldn't be able to charge me for holding Neptune in his carrier for three hours. They examine him in ten minutes and I decide to not have him tested for FIV or feline leukemia, as I initially intended, because I did not trust them to treat him with proper care whilst trying to rush during after hours. I pay cash for the consultation and revolution flea prevention, and y'all, these people shorted me on my change by two dollars. I noticed immediately, but decided I would be taking all these issues up with their corporate office. Do not take your pets here. Their service is woefully unprofessional and inadequate. What I'm most upset about is that I put Neptune through this b.s. He deserves better and I feel like I've betrayed his trust by giving him to these people.

I brought my dog to this Banfield location this weekend as she needed a bortadella vaccine and a heart worm test. They are not permitting pet owners to accompany the pet into the exam room, so I had to wait outside. Due to utter carelessness my dog was "accidentally" given a rabies vaccine which she's not due to have for another 2.5 years. The vet tech was apologetic, but tried to say these things happen. I explained these things shouldn't happen if they just take a few seconds to double check what they're doing rather than assume everyone is there for a rabies vaccine. I was livid at their absolute carelessness, and needless to say I will never bring my dog to this location again.

Banfield Pet Hospital | Sep 6, 2020

You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.

What is an Optimum Wellness Plan?

Banfield Pet Hospital | Sep 6, 2020

Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
