Purchased a satisfactory open-box TV online. Got a text to go pickup. Drove over an hour to pick it up and was told they don't have the TV. Then I was offered a discount on another open-box TV as compensation. I agreed and so they went to get it. They came back and said the TV is "being sent to service" so I couldn't purchase that one either. The store manager, Hussein Tareq, is incompetent to say the least. I asked him how this could have happened. I tried to get details on how the satisfactory TV came to the store (return in person or shipped to the store), who from Geek Squad did the quality check, who checked it in online afterwards, etc. He was unable to give me an answer to any of it.

Wanted to finance a new phone and spoke with a gentleman named Ben and he was very helpful looked up exactly what I wanted, assisting me through the finance process, was approved and Ben placed my order and explained options to having it sent to the store or directly to me. Completed the process and notified me what to expect and that I would be notified when the phone should arrive. I was very pleased with the process and how smooth it went.

Visited a best buy in South Florida. It was fully stocked with cameras and lenses. The Charlottesville store had lots of cell phones and a few cheap and old cameras. cool beans if that is what you are looking for. It was not what I was looking for.

Yes service is for electronics only and even a large portion of that is not serviced unless under warranty. No sewing machines do not fall under their service.

Actually I used Lowe's and they did a great job
It sounds like something you needed to talk to Geek Squad directly about. Be warned though I know some former feel squad employees from this store, their entire job is to sell you more, and unnecessary products. If you ever needed service on your notebook local repair shops can do it better, faster, and cheaper most of the time.

I believe it may possibly be a combination of both human and computer error. It definitely would have to be one or the other. It has happened to me personally at Best Buy in the past. The best and only thing you can do is be diligent and make any and all phone calls necessary to your satisfaction as a consumer.
